A Song For The Wild Beast

A song for the Wild Beast

Free at last

Untameable

She wants to let go of all inhibitions

How can she enjoy freedom in totality

Without getting caught up once more

In want and need

In pleasure and addiction

The ascetic who has not smiled

Who has not laughed

Where can she find the courage to venture

Into life's unknown pleasures

So intense it feels dangerous

To let her guard down

To give in

Lest she get sucked into a whirlpool

And drown

Yet

If she does not venture out

If she is not brave

Does she live

Whilst missing the greatest parts of life

That make life worth living?
