I could trace every inch of your face
in my dreams,
every corner and curve of your body.
The stretch marks and wrinkles,
the ebb and flow of melanin,
the wounds and scars.
I know them all.
I’ve held them all.
There is nothing more profound
than knowing someone
present, past and future.
