Out of kitchen foil and boards he built the throne of God
Not one but many thrones
Until he could fill a whole room
with thrones and crowns and shrines
They glisten and shimmer in immaculate gold and silver
With the most intricate designs
of angels leaning over
carried by faith and spirit
Where eagle wings are angel wings
For he is a son of God
A son of America
A son of Africa
Amid the stars
Above the throne of God he writes,
“Fear Not”
Words that could only be carved by hands
That know true faith
And a vision of the immaculate
